I'm Ish Nazmi, a Brooklyn-based VFX and Animation Director with 18+ years of experience delivering bold, emotionally resonant visuals across television, streaming, branded content, and music. My work combines high-concept design, technical expertise, and most importantly a keen eye for story telling.
My career has weaved through VFX supervision, Animation and VFX direction, team building, 2D/3D animation, compositing, motion design, and color correction. For the past 10 years, I’ve held a senior role at Nickelodeon, starting as a Sr. Animator and being promoted to VFX and Technical Director. I’ve led visual development and post-production across major campaigns, show launches, network branding, live events, and weekly broadcasts.
I've contributed to multiple media award wins and nominations, including the Children's & Family Emmy Awards, Sports Emmy's, and multiple Promaxes for art direction and animation. I’ve also worked on high-profile creative for MTV, BET, ABC, Paramount, Coca-Cola, NBCUniversal, Vice Media, and Documentary work.
Before Nickelodeon, I maintained an active freelance practice — working on show packages, cross-platform design content, animated and live action music visuals, both for independent artists and global brands. I bring a collaborative approach rooted in visual storytelling, design clarity, and creative leadership, with a strong focus on elevating the identity and impact of every project.
